Novare Design was engaged to do a Detailed Seismic Assessment (DSA) for the Tokaanu power station. The structure consists of four individual structures with isolation planes. The buildings are constructed with a mixture of concrete moment frames, concrete walls and steel portal frames.

Novare undertook a full Soil Structure Interaction analysis to the structures to determine the sensitivity of the building to ground conditions.
