Established in December 2004 by Don Smith, Novare Design was founded on extensive industry experience. Prior to forming the company, Don worked for Holmes Consulting Group in Wellington. Richard Keenan joined the practice in March 2005 bringing international experience from Price & Myers LLP in London and Kingston Morrison in Wellington. He became a principal of Novare Design in July 2005.
Since its inception, Novare Design has contributed to more than 3,000 civil and structural engineering projects across New Zealand and internationally.

Novare Design possesses the expertise and advanced analytical tools required to undertake a range of seismic design and analysis projects. In addition to complex structural modelling and analysis, we conduct site-specific seismic hazard assessments and select and scale ground motion records to align with site-specific response spectra.
