Novare Design was engaged to do a Detailed Seismic Assessment (DSA) for the structure. The structure consists of friction moment frames as lateral resisting system.

Novare also undertook high-level analysis and comments regarding what level of damage would be expected based on the Kaikoura Earthquake sequence applied to the structure.

Our in-house team with experience with Seismic Hazard Analysis were able to obtain accelerations from nearby recording stations and apply it to the structure.
