Novare Design have carried out the structural design for this sculpture structure for The Otago Museum. The sculpture will be an iconic feature for the museum and the project was approached with a huge amount of enthusiasm and passion by all parties involved. The structure had to comply with boundaries set by the NZ Playground Standards and to optimise the connections of the structure a detailed finite element model analysis was carried out. The slide will be an eye-catcher and will offer great entertainment to the children visiting the Otago Museum.
